When polar enthusiasts trek to the North or South Pole, they subject themselves and their footwear to the most demanding conditions imaginable. The extreme cold temperatures, howling winds, ice flows of the Arctic, and the high altitude of the Antarctic, make these treks arguably the harshest in the world. This makes the Poles the perfect place for field testing Baffin® boots.

By getting out and experiencing Baffin product this way, they're able to constantly improve and refine not only winter footwear, but apparel and spring footwear too, using true first-hand experience. Baffin does not dream this up in a marketing boardroom - they live the brand.

While traditional molded boots are suitable for some conditions, they are not ideal for cold temperatures. In the early 90s, Baffin realized that if they combined their leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, they could create a new hybrid style of high performance footwear. Since then, Baffin has developed new materials and combined them in new innovative combinations. A good example is the unrivaled eight-layer combination of materials that are used in the boots that are rated for -100ºC (-148ºF).

At Baffin they live the brand. They remain focused on being one of the leaders in outdoor performance footwear and apparel; providing quality, comfort, and protection through constant real world testing and technical innovation.
