Marmot® Men's Mountain Works Hoody is ready to out-cozy all the competition. It goes on first thing in the morning for a dog walk, coffee run, or a stoke of last night's campfire, and it's the last thing you take off, if you take it off at all, before you hit the hay or the side zips on the sleeping bag. The softness of a midweight blend of cotton and recycled polyester pairs well with a cup of joe, or a campfire nightcap. It's the sweatshirt that's never more than an arm's length away, from the crag, to the couch, to the trunk of your car, at the ready to warm you up or comfort your cool down.

Started in the 1970s by two college students, the Marmot "club" involved climbing glaciated peaks with other "Marmots."  During the next two years, the two young men began experimenting with down products - a sweater, a parka, and three down sleeping bags. Then, in 1973 the two, along with a friend, purchased a retail location in Colorado and dubbed it Marmot Mountain Works.

By 1974 the company now known as Marmot® was born. As fate would have it, an acquaintance asked them to make 108 puffy jackets for a new Clint Eastwood movie - definitively putting them on the map. Soon introduced to Gore-Tex® fabric via another acquaintance the two began designing and manufacturing products with this new innovative technology.

The late 70s saw a company that was experiencing consistent growth by delivering a high-quality performance product. Today's Marmot has a tireless commitment to building the finest outdoor clothing and equipment available.
